Background
Dr. Abdullah earned his medical degree at Nova Southeastern University and is board certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He also holds an MBA in healthcare management and an MPH in health care policy.
He teaches as an Instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center and as an Assistant Professor at the TCU and UNTHSC School of Medicine, and he continues to practice as a hospitalist. That hospital work matters for a primary care practice, because it is a constant reminder of which outpatient failures land people in a hospital bed.

Care philosophy
I still work as a hospitalist, which means part of every week is spent with people on the worst day of their year. Almost none of them got there overnight. They arrived after years of something that could have been caught earlier, treated properly, and actually followed.
That is the whole reason I care about primary care being done well. I have seen the far end of what happens when it is not, and I would much rather meet you a decade before that, while the fix is still a conversation and a plan rather than an admission.
So I want us watching your whole health, not one number at a time. Nobody prevents everything, and I would not promise you otherwise. But good medical care and a plan you can genuinely stick with changes the odds enormously, and it tends to buy you years that feel better rather than simply more of them.
