Primary Care for Trophy Club, TX

Trophy Club is ten minutes west of us on SH 114, which in practice makes us one of the closer primary care options for the town.

The drive

East on SH 114, off at the Kirkwood Blvd area. One straight highway run with no surface street crawl, which is why it is quicker than the map distance suggests. From the Highlands or Trophy Wood you are looking at about ten minutes, a little more from the far west side.

Free surface parking directly in front, a short flat walk, no garage.

Why this comes up

Trophy Club has limited primary care within the town itself, so most residents drive somewhere regardless. Once that is true, the question is not distance so much as what you get when you arrive.

What we offer is a small practice: openings held each day for people who need to be seen, a physician-led team you can keep seeing, and a phone answered by someone in this building. Dr. Farhan Abdullah, DO, board certified in Internal Medicine, and Rachael Bowen, NP see patients.

Northwest ISD athletes

Sports physicals for students age 16 and older, covering Byron Nelson High School and the upper grades.

Bring the full UIL packet with the history section completed at home with a parent. That section, particularly the family cardiac history, is what the exam is built around, and it is the part most often left blank until the waiting room.

Book early in the summer. If something turns up that needs an orthopedic evaluation or an echocardiogram, you want weeks rather than days. More detail in sports physicals for high school athletes.

We do not see anyone younger than 16.

Coordinating with specialists

A lot of the value of primary care is not the individual visit. It is having one place where everything lands: the cardiologist’s note, the orthopedist’s plan, the medication somebody else started.

If you already see specialists, bring the names and we will request records. Nobody else in the system is looking at the whole list, and medication interactions in particular tend to surface only when one person is holding all of it.

What we handle

Annual physicals, chronic conditions including blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol, sick visits, preventive screening, joint injections, women’s health, men’s health and telehealth.

No pediatric, prenatal or emergency care. For an emergency, call 911.
